What types of plasticizers are compatible with santicizer® 160?
This plasticizer has compatibility with many polymer types, particularly PVC. Santicizer® 160 can be used as a primary plasticizer or is often blended with general-purpose plasticizers to offer faster fusion and better plasticizing efficiency.
What are plasticizers used for?
Plasticizers are used in materials to increase elasticity, ultimately to increase overall flexibility. Santicizer® Plasticizers offer all the benefits of high solvating plasticizers including compatibility in multiple polymer systems including PVC, Polysulfide, Polyurethane and Silane Modified Polymers.
Are santicizer® phosphate esters flame retardant plasticizers halogenated?
Santicizer® Phosphate Esters flame retardant plasticizers are non-halogenated and perform with the same plasticizing capabilities of the other Santicizer® plasticizers. Formulating these products into a polymer will retard flame propagation and suppress smoke generation.
Why are plasticisers used in the processing of polyvinyl chloride?
The freedom of movement increases the flexibility of the material to which plasticisers have been added. As a result, the use of such additives facilitates the processing of plastics. They are most often used in the processing of polyvinyl chloride.
Why is paraplex G-50 a good plasticizer?
It offers good permanence combined with good process ability in PVC and nitrile compounds. PARAPLEX G-50 is most notably superior to monomeric plasticizers in resistance to extraction by oils and hydrocarbons, freedom from volatility, and resistance to migration into lacquers, rubber and typical baked finishes.
