This research examined the effect of superplasticizer on workability and properties of self-compacting concrete (SCC). Three types of superplasticizers Conplast SP 561, Conplast SP 430 and Conplast SP 264 at different percentages (0, 10, 20 and 30%) with the same water cement ratio of 0.3, with M30 grade of concrete.
It was observed that when superplasticizer was added at a rate of 0.2 to 0.4% of cement weight, a significant increase in slump was reached of up to [4] times the initial slump.
